MERNA Releases Single, “Young & Reckless” Off New Album Out In November

TORONTO. 15-09-2014 – W.A.R Media is proud to announce the release of “Young & Reckless”, the highly anticipated single off Merna’s forthcoming album, The Calling.
“Young & Reckless” is penned by Merna (@mernakilledayah) and produced byMakai Black (@makaiblack). The final touches were laid down by legendary producer, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (@alishaheed). The track is an anthemic ode to the freedom of youth.
“Y&R is about throwing caution to the wind, just letting everything go in the name of (what one may think is) love. It’s all about what is right, in the now. It’s about having fun!”, says Merna.

Aligning with the release of The Calling, Merna comes together with HP Computersand is featured as a rule bender for their #BendTheRules campaign. Each week, HP Computers will release a moving, behind the scenes, short film styled video, written and narrated by Merna, and directed by Zac Facts, about music, inspiration, and life.

Known for her timeless sound and free-spirit, Merna is an acclaimed artist. Previously known as Ayah, she has worked with and been endorsed by DJ Jazzy Jeff, Doc Mckinney (The Weeknd), Young Guru (Jay-Z).
