Maestro turns his TEDxTalks presentation into a straight up show with performances of “Stick to Your Vision” and “Let Your Backbone Slide”.

The fifth annual TEDxToronto conference took place on September 26, 2013 at The Royal Conservatory of Music.

For our 2013 TEDxToronto Conference, all talks, performances and demos were rooted in our selected theme, “The Choices We Make.”

About the Speaker:
Celebrating his 25th anniversary in the music industry, “Maestro” Fresh Wes Williams is one of Canada’s most successful and influential Hip Hop artists and premier multi-media personalities. His signature song “Let Your Backbone Slide” was the first Canadian Hip Hop single to ever go gold. Wes stars as a high school teacher on CBCs hit show, “Mr. D.” Wes is also the author of the critically-acclaimed book, “Stick To Your Vision.” His new album and collaboration project ‘Orchestrated Noise’ was released in Spring 2013.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
