NEW MUSIC: Nicole Wray feat. Missy Elliot “Make It Hot” (Josef Blo Remix)
First introduction to producer Josef Blo – T.O. born and currently working out of L.A. – who takes a stab at Nicole Wray’s classic collabo with producers Missy and Timbo. Personally, I think it’s near impossible to top the original, so the aim of any producer is to try to provide an alternative version, which he does, but nitpicking fans of Nicole will wonder why he gave Missy top billing on the remix graphic (when she’s really just a feature), and why he took out Mocha’s opening rap verse…. but hey, new era – new generation – new perspective right (??).
Anyways, this is the type of remix you throw in to your playlist when you’ve beaten the original into the ground but still want to hear the song.
