Arts Fortune & Fame presents an exclusive interview with music producer Burd (BurdxKeyz) who recently laced the ASAP Ferg, French Montana and Fabolous single “Don’t Mind” and has released countless records for major artists like Pusha T, MGK and Meek Mills as well as Canadian artists like Kardinal Offishal, SonReal, Tory Lanez and Luu Breeze. At a studio location in the west end of Toronto we had the opportunity to listen to some unreleased material and discuss the music industry on both sides of the border, how to stay motivated as a producer, producers being relevant in and outside of your own city and what the essentials are to making hit records. Burd also speaks on what he did with his first big publishing cheque, finessing the Canadian music industry and giving up and coming artists the chance to blow up.
