Her ‘Kiddo’ EP is one of the year’s strongest debuts, full of invention and ambition. She helped celebrate Vevo Halloween 2017 – The Other World, presented by Honda Stage, on a bill with Aminé, SZA, Khalid and Julia Michaels. And yes, she was fierce through a mini set that included “Gatekeeper.”

Since releasing “Figures” in 2016, Toronto singer and songwriter Jessie Reyez has gone from strength to strength, releasing the ‘Kiddo’ EP, racking up millions of plays, and even performing at the BET Awards. Whether she’s singing ballads or turning up over rap-influenced production, it’s all about passion and heart for Jessie. We spent time with her in New York around her first solo headline show to find out how she got to this point and where she’s going.
