Recognized and respected for their electric live performances and years of merging style with substance, the culmination of years of collaboration as recording artists, performers, event planners/promoters and party purveyors – I.JAMES.JONES & NaNa present a partnership in the grand tradition of the Rap Duo, forged in the flames of a city that produces more smoke than fire. Enter The Names Are Known.

From notebooks to dance floors, headphones to the big speakers; The Names Are Known are Hip Hop in exploration, equal parts time capsule, and time machine, set on preserving the here and now, with the dial firmly set forward. With the release of their debut album “To The People Of The Future” expected in late 2013, The Names Are Known spent 2011 and early 2012 preparing and gaining new fans at their weekly event KNOWNSaturdays @ Czehoski (Toronto) and launching a new weekly – #KNOWNMONDAYS @ColdTeaBar (Toronto) in December 2012. In the effort of growth, the duo has decided that there is no time like the present, first with the release of The March EP (March 2013) and by taking part in the 2013 Canadian Music Week Festival (Elevated ‘ A Night with Toronto’s Rap Community).
