Freedom Writers performed last during the first day of the Concert. This was one of the most anticipated performances people were looking forward to. The whole crowd was going nuts when they took over the stage and it was evident in the videos. We also witnessed Progress freestyle and he wow’d the crowd with the things that he had to say.

As soon as I saw Pharrell’s video to his song “Happy”, and the fact that he successfully produced a 24 hour music video to it, it automatically became my favorite song of the week, and so I decided to do a remix to it by sampling both Michael Jackson’s “I Can’t Help It” and the choir of Coolio’s song “Gangster’s Paradise”. I gotta say I got lucky with the fact that they both worked together

Not included in this album, but spawned from these sessions at Toronto’s Dream House Studios, came this power-ballad turned funk-hop remix of Saidah Baba Talibah’s single “High”. It features an array of live textures, swelling guitars, chugging basslines and powerful synths. What could be more fun?
