VIDEO: Kardinal Offishall Interview w/ George Stroumboulopoulos

rez | Video | Thursday, December 19th, 2013

Kardi chops it up with George. But that clip from ’91 is CLASSIC tho!

Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall was in the red chair recently to talk about his travels in Africa on behalf of the charity Free The Children and also what he used to look like years ago.

He credits his mother’s influence for making him want to help others.

My mom is somebody who really fights for the needs of the people who have no voice,” Kardi said. ” So for me, it’s like when you see your mom do that every day… it’s something that’s ingrained in you. My family in general really just believe in trying to do better for others. So for me, being a celebrity, when I have the spare time it only makes sense to try and be able to give back really to the community.”

Kardi’s annual Free The City charity event in support of Free The Children takes place Dec. 19 at Muzik in Toronto.
