For this week’s interview, we have Toronto-based rapper Rochester aka Juice as our guest. Rochester has appeared on tour with A-list artists such as Kanye West, Chris Brown, and Snoop Dogg.
His debut street single “Boost” featuring Hooks (produced by Dzy, Dej Loaf, Kevin Gates, Little Simz, $ha) has reached number six on Apple Music’s “Hot in the Six” chart, following artists like Drake, Tory Lanez, and Roy Woods. Rochester has recently reconnected with Grammy Award-winning producer Boi 1da on his new single and video “Grateful.”
I talked to Rochester about how he got involved with Hip Hop, his collaboration with Boi-1da, and the challenges he faced on the road that led him to where he is now.
