With a beat courtesy of Kevin Rolly that’s sure to shake any speaker system, Toronto’s young free thinker steps in the pocket and finds his zone. Friends are begging him to dumb down his subject matter in hopes of finding mainstream success, but Ponders proves that’s not necessary, releasing a clip of raw, piercing verses and a hook made to scream with the mandem as you cruise through dark streets. “DOUBTS” is a loud, unwavering middle finger to those standing in the way: Ponders is carving his own lane on his own terms, you can get out of the way or be pushed.
