Sean Leon formerly known as J.R. Richy releases the self-produced first leak from his album, NINELEVENNE scheduled for release SEPT. 11th, 2012. It features tribal drums and samples Active Child’s “Hanging On”, a song originally written about a wounded lover in a domestic tragedy. What do you do once there’s nothing left to salvage? This cover, according to Sean, is based on the the idea that loving someone makes you vulnerable, that these feelings make you a prisoner of that person, that love is execution, and that they now have the power to execute you.

The film is called “Between the Lines“. The project started last year in response to Mayor Rob Ford’s declared war on graffiti and is still in production. The film profiles and delves into the lives of prominent graffiti and street artists in Toronto and explores the sub-culture of street art. While shooting the team also launched a web series in collaboration with the Torontoist Magazine.
“Between the LInes” was selected as the second film of 2012 to be featured in the Hot Docs crowd-funding initiative Doc Ignite. You can support the film here. There are 5 days left for the campaign and they still need to raise $7, 385 to meet their goal. The film is also being supported by the Virgin Mobile Mod Club, who are hosting a concert for us on September 6th, 2012. You can purchase a ticket under the $40 incentive level here. AutoShare is also offering to match incentives at the $100, 155 and 225 levels with equivalent and higher driving credits and memberships to support the final 6 days of the campaign.
We appreciate any support you can give to help us complete our film through our online fundraising campaign with Hot Docs Ignite. To support, please visit: hotdocs.ca/docignite/project/between_the_lines.
