This is the second edition to their annual appearance featuring DJ Law on the 1’s & 2’s, Da Beatminerz Radio/SARS Official DJ. DJ Law & The SARS Network hook up with DJ Grouch live at the Scratchlab DJ Institute in Toronto, Ontario. As it seems, Rappers have forgotten about the cypher or maybe it was a quick buzz for a little while for most, but not The SARS Network, as they click up and form a circle with a unique spin on things. H&F Media Inc. presents KemiKAL’s self produced debut album “Elevator Music: Going Up“. The project comprises 16 original joints, 1 of which were produced by Mason Payne. This album is meant to showcase Kemi’s versatility not only as an upcoming artist, but as a producer/composer as well. A wide range of feelings and emotions can be heard throughout this project along with creative rhyme schemes and wordplay over top of some heavy-hitting beats.
Elevator Music has been on the drawing board for a long time and includes songs that were written, recorded, or produced as long as 4 years ago all the way to songs that were recorded within a month of this release. This was intended to be his way of showing the world his development. Distinguishing the old from the new may be a challenge for the listener as everything is structured to create an all around well put together project.
The album contains featured verses from Gudini, Coyote, Izm, and Erik Flowchild. You will also hear vocalists pHoenix Pagliacci & LeiLa – also known as PG – blessing some hooks along the way. Also we have guitarist, Edgar Lucas, adding some live instrumentation.
There Is Only Today (The Remixtape) is a collection of exclusive remixes from a number of great producers Muneshine didn’t get a chance to work with on There Is Only Today. The Herbaliser, Moka Only, Elaquent, Slakah the Beatchild, SoundSci, Croup, The Extremities and Relic contributed, and Muneshine himself, remixing ‘Starter Jacket’ (feat. D-Sisive). It also features an exclusive remix by Poland’s Kes-A, who won the official There Is Only Today Remix Contest.
The mixtape was compiled and mixed by DJ Sonik (Sonikcuts of Brazil/France) in traditional fashion, the way mixtapes are meant to be: blended, juggled and scratched.
The mixtape features appearances by: Ghettosocks, D-Sisive, ELMNT, Kydd and NY’s Emilio Rojas.
