Fak man. I don’t think this woman has put out a song that I don’t like. Her push has been super consistent and honestly, listening to her just makes me question all the “rappers” who are “singing” even more. Leave that to actual singers man. Just know that all these real singers could murder all these new cats on their own songs – and actually sound good without using auto-tune (see “Sound Like This”). It’s kinda like we’re in a place now where people who are talented at writing melodies and songs are just putting songs out as artists (because they can – thanks technology) when they should really be writing for others. But I digress…
Jayd Ink’s too dope man. Peep the EP which consists of 4 new songs as well as a previous release, “At.Lanta”. Not sure why “Sound Like This” isn’t on it as that was a recent release as well but it’s all good. And if you’re just getting up on her now be sure to go back and do the knowledge. Just search her here or peep her SoundCloud. New-school R&B is still alive and well in the 6.
Invitation Only EP by Jayd Ink.
UPDATE: “Sound Like This” isn’t on the EP because it’s a dub. Duh! Still a big chune tho!
