Been a minute since we heard from the homie Rochester but just like that he drops an 8-track EP which is just flirting with being a short LP but I digress.

First introduction.
Since the age of 11, M’caiah aka MJ Music has been writing and producing his own music. Now at the age of 16, working through Upright Music Republic, he is developing a style of music that is positive, feel-good, reflective and fun. This young rapper, singer, producer & songwriter is just getting started.
In 2013 he formed a production team called W3M along with his music partner, Quinten ‘Q-PON’ Coblentz. In March 2014, M’caiah had the opportunity to represent Toronto in Austin, Texas for the SXSW festival alongside Role Model Records’ artist Julien. He’s been involved in the collaboration and production of tracks for local Toronto artists and is always ready to work on new material.
M’caiah understands the importance of hard work, skills and networking, seeking out mentorship advice from many top producers. His music is geared to this generation and celebrates the joys of life but also deals with topics that are relevant like overcoming fear, peer pressure and bullying.
M’caiah has released two singles, “Dream On” and “Young” as part of the Life Movements Compilation and is currently working on videos for both tracks. He already has a catalogue of songs and is working to complete his first recorded project. Be on the lookout for what’s to come because this young artist certainly has got next.

“Follow Me” is the latest single from D.O. Gibson’s recent album Duane Gibson. The inspirational song is about the path to finding one’s uniqueness. In the video, Gibson plays the role of substitute teacher watching over an unruly class. Adrian Rezza – the vocalist on the track – plays a music teacher. It’s not a stretch for either artist. Prior to becoming a full time artist, Gibson was a teacher/tutor. He taught learn to read classes for kindergarten students. Adrian Rezza has been an elementary school teacher for ten years.
Currently Gibson combines his passion of rapping and education as a motivational speaker. Through his Stay Driven program he has reached over 1000 schools and hundreds of thousands of youth.
“Follow Me” is directed by Illivbe – who was recently featured as a finalist on CBC’s Canada’s Smartest Person. This is the fifth video that Illvibe has shot for D.O.. Most recently they appeared together in Illvibe’s “The Life”.
In 2016, Gibson is gearing up for shows in Netherlands in January followed by a Black History Month school tour in February and a Cross Canada tour in March and April.
