Montreal’s MC/Producer Jai Nitai Lotus continues his ‘One-off series’, with the 4th collaboration titled “Not a Love Song.” Jai Nitai takes a minimal approach on the production with smooth piano and crispy drums providing the right mood for the vocals to paint a complete, yet open-ended picture. Fellow MTLien Jesse Maxwell handles the raps with attention to poetic detail and style, touching on the sentiments of old love and current crushes, resolving with “two stars on a lonely night.”  Press play and allow yourself to reminisce to this one…
