Keeping as busy as ever, Toronto’s own Rich Kidd comes through with his annual compilation We On Some Rich Kidd Shit Vol. 7: The People’s Champ. Last week, he dropped “It’s Real Like That” featuring North Carolina spitter Deniro Farrar through Mass Appeal then landed “When It Go Down” via Hypetrak – a breezy summer anthem featuring co-production from Notorious crate-digger Frank Dukes (Ghostface Killah, Danny Brown, BADBADNOTGOOD, Tree). Now, here’s the full thing with notable guest appearances from Casey Veggies, Chase N Cashe, Torae, K-os, and Son Real among others. The People’s Champ is the 7th installment in the We On Some Rich Kidd Shit mixtape series which features Rich’s favorite songs from artists all over the globe on his production.

Get to know brand new crew Great Minds – a new collective of young artists on the grind. Here’s the full breakdown and you can check out their debut mixtape below.

Great Minds consists of 11 young rappers, photographers, producers, designers, and videographers. Great Minds stands behind the true meaning of Hip-Hop, self expression and realness. Great Minds are inspired by other great minds, revolutionary and musically such as; Bob Marley, Krs One, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, ect..

Our movement and family based mentality is inspired by other groups such as; Wu-Tang, Souls Of Mischief, Mobb Deep, ect.. We’ve have had some exposure on websites such as hiphopcanada.com, northstarhiphop.com, eachones.com, and more. We’ve also received some radio airplay alongside some of the best in today’s rap game. 

Yesterday, July 4th,  we released our very first mixtape entitled RFT$A, which stands for ‘Representative For The Starving Artists’. The mixtape features every member in Great Minds.
