On the heels of his latest album “The Ivy League” ,Tona makes a return but this time has a full album titled “BLACK MIRROR” scheduled for a release date in September 2017. The album is a collaborative effort entirely produced by Electronic & Bass producer “MEMORECKS” who has produced for the likes of; Zeds Dead & , Jenna Pemkowski. The first single titled “War Child” is a socially conscious charged record in which the proverbial shackles are off, meaning no subject matter is off limits.

As promised, McCallaman delivers on his new EP, It Takes Two. Although, with 9 tracks this is definitely flirting with LP territory. I think a lot of people don’t realize that EP vs. LP is really just about length. These days people are using “EP” for anything that’s not an “album” but also not a “mixtape”, lol. If I’m not mistaken, 30 minutes and under is an EP. Anything longer and it’s an album baby! Knowing McCallaman though, there’s probably some 1 minute songs on here so…
Either way…looking forward to some straight vibes from McCallaman man. Taking this one in ASAP.

Toronto’s Layla Hendryx Releases New EP “PREEPAID”
Layla Hendryx burst onto the scene in 2015 with her debut EP release “Channel 6” and immediately established her self as an artist to watch. Her genre blending sound infusing elements of hip-hop, R&B and trap caught the attention of fans and critics alike. Her single “B.T.W” was featured on episode 4 of OVO Sound Radio and quickly became a fan favorite off the project, while her music caught the attention of taste making publications such as: The Fader, MTV News, Complex Music and Vice / Noisey among others.
After a short break from releasing music, Layla returns with a 6 song EP titled “PREEPAID”. The EP was produced in its entirety by Toronto based producer JMak, who also produced all of “Channel 6”. The new project is a return to Layla’s aggressive lyricism with her signature ability to switch styles and genres effortlessly on tracks. Releasing the first single off the EP, “Live It Up” featuring Pressa in June, look for Layla to continue to drop new music and videos.
Premiering Via Complex Music, “PREEPAID” is now available on Layla’s Soundcloud and will be available on all streaming services (Spotify, TIDAL, Apple Music) soon.
