Sinomatic EP
For Immediate Release:

A Canadian Dream….Rise and Fall

“Action” “Roll tape” Only this isn’t a conventional movie, its Sinot’s first EP “Sinomatic”

“Sinomatic” takes a unique approach to creativity, with piercing word play, an ever important message, along with remarkably production, which leaves you yearning for more. Sinot instills the message behind the EP with lyrics so vivid it paints a picture as you indulge. Sinot takes you on a journey sharing the highs and lows of a juvenile minority male raised in the public housing. Sinomatic opens with “Man to Man” 1 which covers the melodic 2008 record “”The Traitor” as the scene forms with the conversation of the juvenile receiving advice from an “OG” on the highs and lows of the drug trade. As he shares a real life story recollecting of the game as he knew it. “Good Man” follows with an alluring non-fiction cover of the identical title, this narrative metaphor starts to form as the juvenile gets caught up, which leads to his mother turning a blind eye as his speaks to a lady about her lifestyle and her priorities. The summer anthem “I’m Gonna Getcha” produced by Rich Kidd is the coming of age in full effect. Sinot presents a bird’s eye view of the inner city dream and what it notoriously brings. The experience continues with the climax of his success in the soulful flash back reminiscences of the fast life, with the noticeable smooth horn in this collaboration “Man to Man” 2 with the talented Leila Dey. As the record spotlights the juvenile flaunting what the streets define as success. Remember what grandma uses to say. Anything received fast goes even quicker as “Sinomatic” concludes with the well-known sample re-invented by Rich Kidd “Man to Man” 3 wines down with Sinot preaching just how quick the dream became reality and was all gone in the blink of an eye. As the EP closes Sinot leaves you captivated while educating listeners on the real issues affecting our communities. Remember best said by Sinot “Change Starts From Within”.

NEW MUSIC: ElceeTheArtist x Bonham Carter present Love Notes (EP)

rez | Music | Sunday, August 14th, 2016

ElceeLoveNotes

ElceeTheArtist links up with Cali-based producer Bonham Carter one mo’gin, this time for a 5-track EP called Love Notes.

Right in the middle of Toronto’s hottest summer in memory, ElceeTheArtist delivers a cool, and up-beat EP called “Love Notes”. The album focuses it’s attention on the many different aspects of that fickle thing we call love. Take a familiar journey with Elcee as he paints some iconic moments in love through this five-track EP. The album, produced by California’s Bonham Carter, has some smooth melodies punctuated with staccato percussion, and horns that snap through the synths throughout each of the tracks. ElceeTheArtist’s vocals ride across the arrangements with a complexity that accents the instrumentals. The subjects of the lyrics fit right at home on top of those soulful melodies. The whole concept of the album stems from the “notes” that make up the musical arrangement, to the “notes” about love that each track represents. All of this culminates in an EP that is a collection of Love Notes.

Art from Adrian Hayles & the family of King Reign.

4 THE LOVED ONES

Familiarity breeds contempt.
About our families we’re angry and need to vent. And don’t realize till they’re gone that the sentiment was wrong. Flirt with love but we’re married to fees and rent.
What’s a phone call? In the middle of the day. When they prolly got a boss that’s belittling they’re faith. Overall that’s nothing but it means something. What’s the point of buildin up if u leave nothing. I’m a proponent of thinkin bout fam and not opponents, cuz every energy spent that’s another lost moment. Ain’t always right with approaches, I focus on who screwed me over stead of who I deem the closest. But I’m tryin to change in ways. And think different, fore my souls next to the big dipper. It’s all about seein the bigger picture. Whether u an atheist, spiritual or speakin written scriptures.

Chorus:

Before you leave this Earth well I’m a tell you what ur worth.

I ain’t gonna wait a day, not an hour not a minute cuz the fam comes first.

I’m a put aside the stress, and the vanity, the hatred, the problems, the hurt.

Last time I saw Reign and such, with Grouch b4 a show when he told me he was driving a truck. In my head I said what the fuck, that’s the same dude who made the big tune lookin for love that got banned by much. But there he was positive. To say the dude had a big heart’s stating the obvious. And he was always on some consciousness, in the song killer talking bout cops and CIA operatives. So all u rappers not talking bout shit. Use ur rhymes as a vehicle to lift, expand and shift. Demand and get, take a stand and live that’s my man always did. RIGHT.

Before you leave this Earth well I’m a tell you what ur worth.

I ain’t gonna wait a day, not an hour not a minute cuz the fam comes first.

I’m a put aside the stress, and the vanity, the hatred, the problems, the hurt.

Last time I saw Masimba, was Deep winter. Despite the cold he had I smile I remembered, gave a hug to my girl did the hold chin Son of SOUL pose before laughing with the world that’s a good dude. I ain’t even know my man Tris new Trevor, that’s from the Vaughan rd era. When Son passed Trevor went to the funeral. That shit bugged me out these connections are beautiful. That’s how Toronto do. Word to Reign, letting u know the whole city came out to honour u. And I was in a off mood for the day, but when it finished I knew the vibes hit ur spirit like…

Before you leave this Earth well I’m a tell you what ur worth.

I ain’t gonna wait a day, not an hour not a minute cuz the fam comes first.

I’m a put aside the stress, and the vanity, the hatred, the problems, the hurt.
