New visuals for Canadian emcee Nostic & Philly crate digger VStheBEST “Wut’chu Waitin’ For?” from the 10 track tape #712DEMOS available for FREE download below! Enjoy!
Class of ’93 (emcee Kzaraw – producer Mega) just dropped the video for this single off their latest album but while catching up on their movements I seen this one featuring Trace Motivate off their self-titled debut ’11 release that they dropped back in November of ’12.
Like I said before, I’m really diggin’ what this crew’s been doing.. see my mini-rant here, lol
More flows, beats and visuals off Shiltz’s“Still Standing” album.
Evan Ciniello directs the latest release from “Still Standing” in which Shiltz teams up with Junia-T of the Smash Brovaz for “From The Soul”. This joint features the Sauga City representatives waxing philosophic on what it is to be a real MC. The Juno award winning Relic provides both the soundscape and cuts for “From The Soul”. “Still Standing” drops on May 9th and will be available for free download via jshiltz.bandcamp.com
Show more! Show more! Because you KNOW she was about to go innnnn…!
This is part 1 of a series of myself performing live. You will hear both original and cover songs. To see more……I’d love to see your beautiful faces at my shows!!!
In part 1, I perform a cover of “I HAVE NOTHING” by one of my idols, Whitney Houston (RIP).
It’s funny because I just took in this interview with De La Soul the other day and this video totally reminded me of something Dave said (1:30 mark) about when they made the “Buddy” video. Love that that spirit is still alive and well despite all the bullsh*t that’s out there…
Anyways…some BTS jokes from tha ladies. “Soul Runner” on repeat.
Behind the scenes with “The Toddler”, aka pHoenix Pagliacci.
Been watching Class of ’93 since their debut and kinda feel like the duo’s (emcee KZARAW – producer Mega) potential is just sitting there waiting for more people to finally notice. Not to mention, seeing three great female Toronto emcees together on a cut is still such a frickin’ rarity, I’d even argue that their chemistry with A. Harmony and pHoenix might be worthy of a bit more official and strategic exploration (no pressure tho!).
Take in this crew’s previous releases and the formula they’re building with is pretty clear – good hops, rooted in the art’s fundamentals, and the experiences of the city they live in, with no real sign of pretense.
Honestly, it’s singles like this and this that make me miss doing OTA Live! sooo much. *tear drop*
Shouts to Rich and Junia on the beat (and placement) but maan it hurts to think how much sicker it would’ve been with Rich and Junia OVER the beat too.
Sooo…I’m dumb. I knew that was PG on the Melanie Fionaflyer for the show last night. But on it it said someone named LeiLa Dey was opening. Without thinking I just assumed someone messed up on the flyer and added PG’s picture (because maybe she was another opener) without adding her name to the titles.
Bah! No faith right?
So I bump into her last night and she set the record straight. PG now = LeiLa Dey. Got it.
Oh yea, and the video above is the reminder why you should care. Still a really dope joint! Definitely looking forward to what LeiLa’s got cooking…
