No, this is not a Rihanna cover. It’s an intro to Jon B and Robin Thicke’s Canadian love child, Frank Anthony. I’m sure some of tha ladies are gonna love this dude! Via the newly launched RNBCanada.com:
Check out the new video from Frank Anthony called “Diamonds”. The song is available on Frank Anthony’s Mixtape “Sixty8 Comeback”.
Frank Anthony hails from Toronto, Canada. Born of Italian descent, he was raised in a predominately multicultural community where multi-languages, food and music were prevalent around him. Growing up on the ‘90s Hip-Hop and R&B sound, Anthony’s love of music stems from diverse musical influences he has been exposed to in his community and by his family – from 50s pop singers like Elvis and Little Anthony and The Imperials, to today’s R&B singers like R. Kelly and Usher. He was also greatly influenced by Italian greats such as Eros Ramazzotti, Toto Cutungno and the late Lucio Dalla and Luciano Pavarotti. Then there was the influence of his father who played in a number of bands, while growing up. The passion his father exuded when performing was contagious and inspired Frank Anthony to get into music. Frank plays guitar and looks to incorporate those talents along with dynamic and interactive choreography in his live shows.
It’s not every day that an independent up and coming Pop artist gets chart-topping songwriters and producers like Scott Storch (Justin Timberlake, Fat Joe, Beyoncé), Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd (Kelly Rowland, 112), The Underdogs (Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown), Steven Russell (Jordin Sparks, Chris Brown), the Audibles (Lupe Fiasco), rappers Tyga, Kendrick Lamar, and Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys to collaborate with them on their debut album. But few come with the panache, raw musical talent, and a commitment of resources from label-management that belies Frank Anthony’s status as a new artist.
A singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and dancer, a virtual multi-threat; his debut album, UNDENIABLE (yet to be released), is what Frank has been preparing for all his life. UNDENIABLE, a collection of hit-driven Pop, R&B, Dance, and Hip-Hop influenced songs, is the type of album package that most new artists could only dream of creating.
Frank Anthony is a graduate of Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada and has been a Big Brother over the last couple of years to a young teen in his home town.
