Intro to new artist J-Soul. Ya ya, I know…this is like his 4th music video. I’ma go back and play catch up. I remember a post from Yuri Koller where he said he was working with a new signee to Cash Money. Here he is.
Some compelling visuals to go along with the latest joint from SATE.
“Listen and take heed. There are times when the signs aren’t so clear and you feel like you’re repeating lessons over and over and over again. And sometimes, it feels like you’re being beat down by life or some other force. FEEL is about ignoring that voice or that feeling we call intuition.” – SATE
Gawd damn!!!! I’m so happy he did a video for this song. This is one of the R&B chunes that got the most burn for me last year for sure. Hopefully the video will help get it out even more now. Shouts to the boi!
Toronto artist/producer Kavale has been continuously dropping music since his “Genius” EP which received great views and response by accredited blogs. Kavale recently released singles called “I Know” and “Hold On”. He is prepping to release his new project titled “Carpe Diem” which drops very soon! The first single/visual off “Carpe Diem” is “West Drive”. Below is the link to the animated visuals which Premiered today on Noisey. If you can post it that would much appreciated.
Born in 1991, KAVALE grew up in Toronto at a time when the city itself was coming of age. Kavale’s musical start was in a school choir, but he was a kid raised on, Tupac, Nas and Jay-Z. That vocal contrast, that mixture of melody and rhythm, classic and modern, infused his work from the start. His music aims to inspire, to translate his emotions and implant them in the listener. Kavale is riding the crest of another wave of young artists itching to prove themselves, hungry to take the next step and bring their songs to the world. His new project “Carpe Diem” drops mid 2016.
And this isn’t just the one joint. Tanika did like a whole concert at the CBC studios! There’s actually 11 videos of her performing new joints from Soul Run as well as older songs like “Think of You” (bom bom) and “SillyHappyWild” (blap blap). Here’s a link to the YouTube playlist:

It is hard to believe that Soul Run is Tanika Charles’s debut full-length record. Over the past several years, Charles has become a a staple of the Canadian music festival scene, performing at North by Northeast, Pop Montreal, TD Toronto Jazz Fest as well as our very own CBC Music Festival.
For her First Play Live session, Charles and her band, the Wonderfuls, were dressed to the nines, as any true soul group should be. The set was tight — this is a top-notch band, and Charles is a top-notch singer.
If you have seen her live over the past few years, the songs will be familiar, so hit play on the videos below and sing along

About A-Sides with Jon Chattman: Jon Chattman’s music series features celebrities and artists (established or not) from all genres performing a track, and discussing what it means to them. This informal series focuses on the artist making art in a low-threatening, extremely informal (sometime humorous) way. No bells, no whistles – just the music performed in a random, low-key setting followed by an unrehearsed chat. In an industry where everything often gets overblown and over manufactured, Jon strives for a refreshing change.
