Mr. Green is back again with a new batch of tight collaborators, this time hooking up with Rich Kidd and Tre Mission. Read on for a statement from Green himself.
“For this episode we went out to Toronto Canada for their annual busker fest. Toronto is a nice city, the streets are clean and people are friendly but we saw a few street fights while we were there too.
First we headed to Yonge street to check out the festival. There were crazy sounds everywhere so it was tough to choose but we started with a guy named David who was playing an instrument he invented called the Tree-otica as well a guy named Mario dressed up like a tree while playing a saw. After that we filmed the violin band deVah Quartet and some fire performances. Next, we went over to Kensington market to film Khari Wendell Mcclelland while he was on a break from tour. Finally, we met up with Rich Kidd and Tre Missions and got them to spit verses for us.”

In celebration of Jacksoul’s upcoming Greatest Hits album, and of course, in memory of Haydain Neale (RIP), Ivana Santilli covers “Unconditional” via CBCMusic.ca. Noice. Always a pleasure to get some new sights and sounds from Ms. Santilli!
On Nov. 25, jacksoul will release a greatest hits album. The 15 tracks include fan favourites like “Don’t Stop” and “Still Believe in Love,” along with deeper cuts from the band’s catalogue.
Greatest Hits also serves as a celebration of creator and lead singer, Haydain Neale, who died all too soon at the age of 39 from lung cancer. The album serves up three new jacksoul songs from Neale’s previously unreleased demo files: “Got To Have It,” “Whole Day” and “Spiralling”.
Today, we bring you Ivana Santilli and her cover of jacksoul’s “Unconditional.”

The folks over at Chart Attack deliver a great little perspective piece on Toronto aka T-dot aka Taurana aka The Mega aka Tha 6, featuring KJ, DJ Bambii and Devon Little.
Toronto is a city with passionate, creative people pushing their art to exciting new places. But is that always enough? For Making A Scene, Chart Attack’s new short documentary, we spoke with representatives of two musical communities making waves, and got into what it means to truly have the city on your back.
The success of Drake has brought the 6’s hip-hop scene an unprecedented level international recognition. Emerging MC Keita Juma and Devon Little, photographer behind the portrait series Toronto Rap (displaying at tonight’s Long Winter event), talk to us about the newfound sense of pride and vigour the city’s hip-hop community has found. But as DJ Bambii tells us, younger movements and nightlife, like her group of indie electro producers and DJs, are being met with resistance. Making A Scene is the beginnings of a conversation on creating true diversity, embracing culture without cues from other countries, and giving new communities a chance to build.

Vice documents the travels of one Ritchie Acheampong to the far, faaaaar North.
Iqaluit is one of the most magical places in the entire country. Our crew, and Rich, had never been up so far beyond the tree line, and it was an incredible experience. Not only did Rich get to play an absolutely insane party, in a yurt tent, five miles away from Iqaluit, in the middle of nowhere, he met with throat singers, a clothing designer, and Iqaluit’s best band: The Jerry Cans. This is the final episode of our FACTOR-funded series, Tripping Out. Don’t miss it. And we hope you enjoyed the series.
