Big Tona with the official follow-up to “Grind Date”. Looking forward to the album…
On the heels of his latest single release, “GRIME DATE”, Tona makes a return with its accompanying single “RED EYE”. The single, which will appear on his forthcoming album, ‘THE IVY LEAGUE,’ is produced by Slakah Da Beatchild; who has worked with the likes of, Drake, Glen Lewis and Kardinal Offishall. The song also features Toronto native Fixaveli, who has been making a name for himself as of late.
“The song came out of a freestyle that was inspired by some ‘Two Oceans’ red wine,” Tona explains. “Everybody had left the studio thinking nothing of it, but a few months later, a vocalist who had been present during the session came back reciting the freestyle like it was a full blown song she had heard on the radio. I couldn’t ignore the signs at this point, and decided to actually turn it into a song.”
Chi-town’s Mick Jenkins links up with BBNG for “Drowning”.

Critically acclaimed underground hip hop artist Moka Only is back at it with his eighth installment of his twelve albums for 2016 series. California Sessions Vol 3, originally recorded in 2003 on an ADAT machine, narrates a time in Moka’s life when he found himself“…floating back and forth between Los Angeles and Vancouver”. Recently remastered from a heavily damaged and once seemingly unusable cassette, this thirteen track record is set for release by URBNET on Friday August 26th. Written, recorded, and produced by Moka Only himself, California Sessions Vol 3 is yet another example of Moka’s boundless talent. He has released countless successful records since the late 90’s working with legends such as; MF Doom, J Dilla, and Swollen Members. Moka’s past collaborative efforts have earned him three Juno’s, Seven MuchMusic Video Awards, and Seven Platinum plaques.
