Toronto emcee JiMMY B returns with a brand new project titled, Prince Of The ‘Borough: Ch. 1 – The BRiCKZ. The project serves as the official follow up to JiMMY’s 2013 debut LP, L.O.R.D.S., while paying homage to his hometown of Scarborough. JiMMY B spent much of 2013 & 2014 promoting the L.O.R.D.S LP while performing across Canada alongside Hip-Hop heavyweights Mac Miller, Ab-Soul, Flatbush ZOMBiES, The Underachievers & The Smoker’s Club Tour.
“The vision behind Prince Of The ‘Borough was to give an insight on Scarborough from my perspective. I want to bring to light my upbringing and surroundings so people can get a better sense of how Scarborough has shaped the individual I am. It is titled ‘Chapter 1’ because this is the first part of the story, an introduction to my side of town. Prince Of The ‘Borough signifies becoming the voice of the people. It represents our life and experiences in a way that nobody else can. It will forever be an Eastside Ting, Scarborough stand up.” – JiMMY B
After a year, of battling ongoing legal issues and recovering from a surprise but severe heart attack (2013), then returning to the scene in 2014, with the all original-content LP, “4sixteenAM”, I guess Young C.H. felt it was time to return to the raw, descriptive, harmonious rhyme schemes that worked so well in the past. And with that, his 4th Mixtape, but 3rd installment in the “Go-To Church” series was born.
New artist Bias Truth is looking to release his debut original project within the coming months titled Blessing In This Art. He releases an official promo single to now create some awareness for the project. His idea is to release songs that didn’t make the project, but reflects the projects sound/direction, so once the project is heard, all the songs are completely new to the listener. These releases will all be produced and written by him. “Feel It (The Revisit) is just one of those records that he hopes connects with everyone. The record is just feels very triumphant while the chorus chants, “can you feel it?”. While speaking on wanting to be under the spotlight for the wrong reasons and not being heard, the expectations for this record once its heard is for the listener to “Feel It”. As always those willing to lend an ear are open to introspectively look at themselves as they listen.
Be blessed.
