First introduction to YTK.
Toronto collective YTK (Yonge Toronto Kids) release their first single together, “Say Somethin'” produced by J Reid.
Made up of 3 young Toronto kids (no pun), Keysha (formerly Keysha Freshh), Steph J (Wrap party, La Complex, Degrassi, Home Again), and Jimmy B (Starboro x Smashmouth).
“YTK is Steph j, Keysha and myself we just young toronto kids focused on making good music and staying positive” explains Jimmy.
“YTK is a common ground. We come together, we make music. We share the same vision and passion. We all do our individual thing, so when we do collaborate we try to make it big, video and everything…if you get what I’m saying [laugh]” describes Keysha.
“Ytk, above anything is the voice for a whole generation of kids from where we come from, toronto” says Steph J.
When asked about the recording process with the three of them:
“Say Somethin’ was easy to do, workin’ with jimmy and keysh is always turnt up. We have nun but fun. we give and take to and from each other to make good music thats speaks to our peers” -Steph J
“The recordin’ process was dope everyone came with their A game and whenever we all get in the studio you know its something dope” – Jimmy
“I think we just have fun. We feed off each other, like we vibe out. Like some rugrats… We turn everything into this big adventure and we just have fun, and I think you can feed off of that when you hear the finished product” – KeyshaLINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGct-z_OjB8&list=UUILKRzeBStvkG_rafTyr7Sg&index=1 Attached is the MP3

After a trip to L.A., Jimmy Prime comes back with some goodies to premiere exclusively on HotNewHipHop. “Honest” is a brand new collaboration between Jimmy Prime and Pollàri. The song was produced by 1Mind & Vinnyx.
On the song, Prime says, “I was in L.A., and I went to 1Mind’s spot to vibe out and make some records. When I got there, Pollàri was there, and he was already working on some of his own music. He was working on this beat (which was the beat to Honest) and when I heard it, right away I already had something to it. So I recorded what I had, and he did his part right after, and from there we knew we had one.”
Prime with some new new via the 6-track mixed EP Bleeding Bull. I’m assuming he’ll release the songs as individual songs too at some point but for now it’s basically one long track.
Just realized I totally forgot to get up the video for “Humana” too so it’s here below if you missed it.

Murda Beatz has been on a steady rise over the last few years and with his latest mixtape Keep God First has entered the realm of royalty when it comes to urban production. Boasting an all-star cast of features and guests, the mixtape has been setting the clubs on fire around North America since it’s release in December. Now comes the second video in support of the project, and what better song than “Drop Out,” which features Toronto artist Jimmy Prime. Murda and Jimmy have collaborated a number of times in the past but this marks the first time they are appearing in a video together. Murda & Jimmy both team up, take a trip to Miami, Florida, and drive Ferrari’s all around from county to county. Be on the lookout for more music & videos from Jimmy Prime coming soon!
