This is the official music video for my “TKO” cover by Justin Timberlake

When I first heard the song “TKO”, the melody of the beat reminded me of a sample I once heard before. I tried looking around on the internet for it but ended up settling for a sample that sounded similar to it. I also thought that adding a sample of The Beatles’ “Lonely People” into the second half of the loop would be pretty cool, and thought it also went well with the concept of Justin Timberlake’s song.

This video was shot on location at the Rouge Hills Conservation area waterfront in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. We gratefully acknowledge that this is originally Seneca/Mississauga First Nations territory.

The Filipino Singkil fan dancing performed in this video is completely improvised. It was shot in one continuous take at 7:45am EST on Oct 27th 2013 immediately at dawn.
