What a great time to be checking for hip-hop in Canada. So many dope projects coming out on the regular and this one is no different. Fresh Kils – who’s arguably the busiest artist out there right now – hooks up with Kitchener emcee/deejay Fraction for “Extra Science”. Definitely got that late 90s boom-bap feel with a 2012 shine. The project also features appearances from The Get By and Mister E.
Nice.

More accompanying visuals for NY emcee Mad Dukez’s collaborative EP with producer Fresh Kils.
DTR proudly presents Mad Dukez and Fresh Kils – hot off their globe trotting Repeat Offenders Tour – in the appropriately timed visual for their latest single, World Wide. Take a journey with Dukez and Kils to Vienna, Amsterdam, Prague, Paris and even a little bit of Texas as they rock crowds the globe over.
Editor Tim Cielinski asked Mad Dukez and Fresh Kils how it felt to play so many stages all over the planet:
Dukez: “Being on tour in both Europe and across the United States was an experience of a lifetime. All of the people we met were extremely respectful to us and our music. It was an amazing feeling because we were able to tell that they cared about us. We felt welcomed, we gained a ton of new fans and supporters of our music.”
Kils: “The video is essentially us manifesting our destiny, taking our art to the world. Even though we conceived that song while we were in the studio back in America, we were sure that it was gonna take us somewhere, and the video is a real testament to that.”

Regardless of the amount of product placements, Carlsberg beer did not sponsor the placement… and yes, we were all really really drunk by 10 in the morning. Enjoy!
