24 year-old Toronto native pHoenix Pagliacci releases her follow up album “Books, Bucks & Beats Vol. 2: Rise of Baby Buddha”, the sequel to her debut album “Books, Bucks & Beats Vol. 1: Holla At a Schola”. The album features production from North America’s finest, including E. Jones of the Soul Council (Talib Kweli, Ludacris, David Banner), as well as heavyweight lyricists such as Jean Grae and Laws.
Through rapping as well as singing, pHoenix speaks about the pain, progression and perseverance that exists in all of us and hints at the importance of “rising” to our true calling.
Of all the Big Lean (and more recently R.O.Z.) posts we’ve made I’m amazed that this one slipped through the cracks. Joint’s dope, lol. And ya, it’s 2 years old. F*ck it.
Like, what the hell man. I literally hadn’t heard or seen this until yesterday and it has almost 100,000 views. Yes, there’s way too much stuff going on in the city to keep up with EVERYTHING but at the same time if the artists paid more attention to having strong promotion behind their projects (other than just posting videos on YouTube) way more stuff would be sticking. Believe that.
So Oshaun and Staasia are part of a new crew called GSX. Got it.
Hey everyone! I loved how Omarion reintroduced himself with this record ft Wale so much that I teamed up with my GSX team mate OShauN for the remix. I love this record and hope y’all enjoy our remix. Thank you SO much for your continuous love & support! Xo #StaasiaVU #GSXMusic #MMG.
