That dude Grandtheft has been putting in work for MINUTE now. First came across his name as part of the Team Canada DJs and then The Eh! Team. He’s put out some original music as well too but his new Quit This City EP is the new push and the first time a full body or work is coming out via the DJ / producer.
Shot across 2 nights in Barcelona with a primarily Spanish cast and crew, these scenes are a combination of conventional filmmaking and on-the-wall documentary observations. Many of the scenes were filmed in the rowdy nightlife district where the camera had to be concealed at points for safety. The scenes where the girls are working the corner was photographed on a long lens from across the street, which led to the actresses being approached by both police and men looking to hire sex workers. Some of the men who approached the actresses were disrespectful and harassing, which unfortunately mirrored the malicious spirit of the final man in the film.

Introduction to new artist Juvon Taylor. The name may sound familiar if you’ve been following The Known [UN]Known (he’s performed in the city a few times as far as I know) but I believe this is his debut single / video. Off the EP King of Hearts! Weeknd-inspired but still nice.
